About
Us
At Reddington Christian Church, you are accepted just as you are--whether
you've had years, months or no church experience.
One of the first things you'll notice when you visit RCC is that we've
got all kinds of people worshipping with us--and lots of them. We're
just everyday, ordinary people who have found a God who has changed our
lives through the power of Jesus and his transforming community.
So how do you fit in? We want you to know that wherever you are on your
spiritual journey we're here to help you take the next step spiritually. |

Future Goals
We are praying for guidance about our future -- whether we should
build an additional facility or not. The new facilities might enable daycare,
additional preschool capacity, and other community missions.
Please join us in our prayer.

History
For nearly 200 years, the Reddington Christian Church has been
a vital part of the life of this area. The families of our community established
a tiny log church building in 1833, soon after the first settlers' huts
were built, and ever since those pioneer days the church and community
have grown together. The site of that first building was in the present
day Reddington Cemetery.
In 1876, the first unit of our present building was built. It was a
simple frame building with an entrance at the south end of the building.
Approximately thirty years later a new entrance, vestibule, and bell
tower were added. The addition, along with the rest of the original building,
was finished in brick, and was both decorative and functional. Shortly
afterward, a Sunday School addition with a basement was added to the
north end of the original building.
In 1953, a 36'x70' annex was added (see lower right). The current sanctuary
was built in 1986. |
